SHAUN Ryder turned the air blue on a new comedy show to leave Channel 4 bosses red-faced.
The Happy Mondays frontman dropped a staggering 110 f***s, six sh*ts, two c***s, two a***s and a b*****ks in his ten minute set on Stand Up And Deliver.
A source who was in the crowd said: “Shaun’s routine was more funny because he swore so much and he kept forgetting what he was talking about.
“So he had the crowd laughing cos he’d be like ‘s**t, what the f***ing hell was I f***ing talking about, again?’”
But his tirade has given show bosses a massive editing headache for the two-part series, which is raising cash for Stand Up To Cancer.
Shaun’s swearing shouldn’t have come as a surprise to Channel 4 after his expletive-ridden appearance on TFI Friday in the Nineties.
Host Chris Evans began their live interview by saying: “You know you swear a lot, don’t you?”
He even offered Shaun a pair of his own shoes if he managed to keep it clean — but the singer couldn’t do it.
On the new show Shaun is joined by fellow celebs Rev Richard Coles, former Tory Party co-chairwoman Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard and ex-Corrie actor Katie McGlynn.
Jason Manford looks after Shaun, David Baddiel is guiding Richard, Nick Helm assists the Baroness, Judi Love will be in charge of Curtis and Zoe Lyons will champion Katie.
The five famous faces will need to perfect their routine alongside their mentor before having a crack at a special stand-up performance.
And the one who gets the most laughs will be crowned the winner.
It seems like Shaun has had the last laugh already to me.
Stand Up And Deliver begins this Thursday at 9pm.

Well hello, again, Rege
BRIDGERTON fans gagging for season two got four minutes in the bedroom with Rege-Jean Page.
The hunk reprised his role as the Duke of Hastings with a spoof sketch during a hosting stint on America’s Saturday Night Live.
It saw him and US comic Chloe Fineman – channelling Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne – creeped out by the show’s intimacy coordinators, played by Ariana Grande’s ex Pete Davidson and Mikey Day.
He also poked fun at Bridgerton’s romps, saying it was “the show that made everyone turn to their mums and say, ‘I don’t think we should watch this together’.”
I wish I’d thought of that – mine kept rewinding.
Derry good news
THE return of Derry Girls is finally in sight after Nicola Coughlan confirmed the new series has been given the go ahead.
The award-winning comedy set in Northern Ireland during the Nineties, was postponed last year.
But the actress, who plays Claire Devlin, tweeted: “Can confirm Series Three of Derry Girls is filming this year and I cannae bloody wait.
“Covid has pushed back filming several times which has been so s***e.
“But honestly the storylines in this series are the best we’ve ever done so I can’t tell you how worth it the wait will have been.”
It all went south for North
ONE might think it’s a good idea to have a decent meal before going into the I’m A Celebrity camp, where entrants face a stomach-shrinking diet of rice and beans for weeks.
But last year’s runner-up Jordan North revealed that his infamous day one vomiting came after scoffing two lamb hotpots in 15 minutes.
He added: “I did think, keep your head down . . . there’s always people that avoid the trials. We’d been up since 4 or 5am, and we’d overrun so had lunch. It was lamb hotpot. I had two because I was like, ‘Get this down because you’re going to be hungry’.
“And I got over the cliff and stupidly I had a peek over. I just puked.”
He said producers asked him to try being sick a second time so they could get a better shot. He added: “I was like, ‘are you f***ing joking?’
“We were breaking in filming but they just managed to get it.”
RUPAUL’s Drag Race UK contestant Sister Sister has admitted trolling has taken its toll since she joined the BBC Three show. She tweeted: “I won’t lie, the last few days have been very tough. Some of the hate I have had to read about myself has been shocking and incredibly painful.”
Merry a masked Marv-el
ASTON Merrygold was a runaway success as Robin on The Masked Singer, but he has his JLS bandmate Marvin Humes to thank.
He came third on the hit ITV show but was only able to take part because producers were desperate to sign up one of the band after Marvin turned down the first series last year.
An insider said: “Marvin was offered a huge amount of cash to take part in the first series but he turned it down as JLS were in talks for their reunion.
“He was the driving force behind getting the group back together and didn’t want any distractions. Despite it being one of the most lucrative contracts he’s ever been offered, Marvin decided to focus on his DJ and presenting commitments as well as the reunion.
“He could have banked a nice little earner before Aston got the call for series two.”
The JLS reunion was put back due to the pandemic but I’m sure Marvin won’t be kicking himself too hard.
He’s returning, alongside wife Rochelle, for a fourth series of BBC music quiz The Hit List later this year.
BONNIE Anderson, who plays Bea Nilsson in Neighbours, has confirmed she is quitting the Aussie soap. She said: “After three and a half years I have decided it is time for me to continue challenging myself and create space to focus on my music and songwriting and more acting.”
Pals will be Oak-ay
DAVID Walliams and Sheridan Smith have a master plan for when their showbiz careers dry up.
Speaking on his pal’s Radio 2 show Sheridan’s Show-stoppers, Britain’s Got Talent judge David said: “I love working with you. I’d work with you every day if I could. Maybe we should go and retire into a soap or something.
“When we’re about 60 and we don’t care any more, we’ll go and be in Hollyoaks for the next ten years or something like that. We’d have a laugh every day in Hollyoaks.”
Hollyoaks would be lucky to have them.
