Claudia Winkelman says she styled herself like Princess Anne on new BBC show

Claudia Winkelman took style inspiration from the Princess Anne for her new show.

The presenter will be hosting BBC's The Traitors which will hit screens soon after being filmed in the Scottish Highlands earlier this year.

Claudia spoke exclusively to the Daily Star: "It was f***ing freezing – I wore long johns! In my Princess Anne, Ronnie Corbett, Madonna dating Guy Ritchie, and by the end, it was full Adam Ant and meets Meatloaf. We ran out of clothes and were just making the clothes in the end… By episode nine, I've got feathers coming off me.

"If you think the outfits start weird then by episode 10 I look like Adam Ant.

"At one point, I said quite seriously to the crew – because we didn't sleep a lot because all we did was watch the live stream from breakfast until they went to bed. At one point, quite tired I turned to Sarah and said 'I'd quite like a falcon, and we said 'yeah I probably should have one' – I lost my s***."

Talking about taking on the role of the eery puppeteer, she said: "I was myself but just to highlight it's not an away day where we are saying 'oh my god, haggis is delicious'.

"It is an awful lot of money where everyone needs to wake up and realise its a game. In the end, I was sobbing on the floor – they had to pick me up. There are so many twists, I mean, at the table I was almost silent but I just let them hack each other to pieces."

In the brand-new psychological reality show, Claudia greets a group of strangers as they arrive at a Scottish castle to play the ultimate game of "detection, backstabbing and trust".

However, hidden among the bunch are 'The Traitors' whose job is to secretly murder others players without getting caught.

The remaining players, 'the Faithfuls', then must try to detect who the traitors are and banish them from the game before they kill off the rest.

The winners of the game will have the chance of winning up to £120,000, but if a Traitor remains undetected, they will take all of the prize funds.

The Traitors will debut on BBC One on Tuesday 29 November at 9.30pm, right after Wales v England in the Men’s FIFA World Cup
