Coronation Street star Ian Bartholomew reveals Geoff Metcalfe's huge exit

Coronation Street star Ian Bartholomew has hinted at a bad ending for abuser Geoff Metcalfe.

Geoff abused his partner Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) for months and now those around him, including son Tim (Joe Duttine), have seen his true colours.

Now he is out on his own, and with Yasmeen’s granddaughter Alya (Sair Khan) on his case, it could spell the end for the sinister radio host, the actor says, and he’s going to ‘get it’ in a big way.

Ian tells next week’s Inside Soap: ‘Now that Tim is in the picture, I think we have to view this as the beginning of the end for Geoff.

‘The more out of control he feels, the less in control he behaves – and I don’t think it will end well, whatever happens.

‘We love to hate a baddie, and see someone like Geoff get his comeuppance, so I suspect that he will.’

He added: ‘Let’s be honest – Geoff is going to get it!’

With everything Geoff has done it’s unlikely he will be able to hang around Weatherfield for very long.

His war with Alya is set to boil over once more after he publicly accuses her of stealing money from him.

Unaware that it was actually Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) who is the guilty party, he confronts her in the street and a nasty argument breaks out while Daniel and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) look on.

Is Geoff about to commit one more evil act out of rage against Alya?
