Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan is reportedly ready to quit the soap for the foreseeable future after leaving back in 2018.
The soap icon is allegedly focusing her attention on her family and other career projects.
As The Sun reports, Helen is not preparing to return to the show after last appearing as Rosie Webster in 2018.
The actress has played the character since 2000, but won’t be returning to the character again – at least in the short term.
A source said: ‘It’s up in the air as to whether she will ever return. She has other career dreams she’d like to work on before making up her mind.
‘She wants to focus on her three children and has other career dreams, including acting roles, she would like to work on before making up her mind whether to reprise her role as Rosie.’
They added: ‘In the short term the break would be around two to three more years but there’s no saying she will come back even after that.
‘Helen loves Coronation Street, her character and the family but it takes up a huge amount of her time and it’s become unfeasible. ITV have left the door open for her should she ever wish to come back.’
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Helen’s representatives for comment.
It’ll be difficult news for some fans to take, especially as it was previously revealed that Helen was set for a secret return to Coronation Street just days before she found out that she was pregnant with her third child.
The 31-year-old welcomed baby Charlie at the end of March with fiancé Scott Sinclair.
