Harry Visinoni absolutely loved having his girlfriend Ellie Isaacs make the briefest cameo in Coronation Street by his side during Seb Franklin’s dying breath.
The actor starred as Seb for five years before the hero was killed off on Friday night, after he and his girlfriend Nina Lucas’ (Mollie Gallagher) were attacked by thugs over their appearance.
However, due to Covid restrictions, Nina star Mollie was banned from touching Harry but Nina was seen stroking Seb’s hand from his hospital bed.
In turn, Harry’s girlfriend Ellie was roped in to provide a comforting Covid-safe hand to comfort Seb in his final moments.
‘They asked me to bring in my girlfriend to play Nina’s hand so in the scenes aired on Friday that hand is my girlfriend’s hand,’ he said during Lorraine today.
‘It was really nice because she got to see what I do before I left and she was in my last scene ever.’
Harry added that it was ‘obviously quite emotional’ departing the ITV soap because he’d become so attached to Seb.
However, he immediately connected to the exit storyline, which was based on the real-life murder of Sophie Lancaster, who was beaten to death in 2007 during an unprovoked attack simply because of the way she dressed.
‘It was just about being as truthful as possible,’ stressed Harry.
As for what’s next, Harry said he’s itching to get back into theatre because he hasn’t ‘stepped on stage since school’.
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV while Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on the same channel.
