Dancing On Ice's Christopher Dean has revealed his sweet connection with his skating partner Jayne Torvill, saying she grabs his hand whenever contestants tackle tough moves.
The ice dance champions have been skating together since 1975 and Christopher shared what a team they still are.
Speaking ahead of the new series of the ITV show, he said that he and Jayne clasp each other's hands when the celebs try daring stunt.
"When you know there is a big trick coming up and the odds are say, 50/50, Jayne often grabs my hand and squeezes as they're coming up to that move," he said.
"We are willing everybody to do the best that they can do but it's live on the night and you never know what you're going to get."
Christopher, 63, said it's thrilling when someone pushes the boundaries, like Perri Kiely doing a backflip on the 2020 series.
He said: "When somebody does that, it's a real sense of achievement that four months before they hadn't even skated.
"To see the progress and their ability and their daring to actually put that together, it's really exciting. Ice is so unforgiving, it's not like you've got the friction of a dance floor, ice is slippery and they are on thin blades.
"I don't think any of the celebrities will go out there and say that they feel comfortable doing this.
"All their stomachs are churning but those that start to enjoy it are the ones that are going to come through in the end," added the star.
The new series of the ice-skating show kicks off on Sunday, January 16, with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield returning as hosts.
Torvill and Dean are back on the judging panel, along with Ashley Banjo.
Strictly's Oti Mabuse will be taking John Barrowman's seat at the table.
