Davina McCall forced to don trainers and dress on The Masked Singer after injury

The Masked Singer panellist Davina McCall was forced to wear trainers on Saturday's episode after sustaining an injury.

Davina, 54, paired her navy dress to with a pair of white trainers instead of a glamorous pair of heels, after she had a tumble when she was running.

Davina explained her footwear choice in an Instagram post in which she shared a snap of her wearing the outfit.

She said: "Tonight is trainers and beautiful @galialahav dress night on @maskedsingeruk 7 pm @itv #maskedsingeruk.

"It was the day after I fell running and there was no way my foot would squeeze into a heel.

"Tonight is movies night … thank you for my movie star hair @mdlondon and my makeup @cherylphelpsgardiner and my lovely dress @angiesmithstyle and @abigailrosewhite."

Davina looked sensational in a daring navy number, featuring a thigh-high slit.

The floor-length gown tightly hugged her curves and kept the dress just above her chest – and fans were quick to fawn over how glamorous the stunning judge looked.

In a behind-the-scenes clip from the ITV show, Davina was also seen brandishing a pair of crutches.

As she shared the snap to Instagram she was inundated with compliments despite her slightly less-than-red carpet look.

One user wrote: "Love the combo!", while another said: "Rocking it Davina." A third person chirped: "Yesss trainers all the way!"

In the same episode, Will Young was latest star eliminated from The Masked Singer after being unmasked as Lionfish.

The singer, who rose to fame on Pop Idol 20 years ago, faced Firework in the sing-off.

Will, 42, belted out Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You for the movie-themed week – but he was correctly identified by panellists Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora.

After being revealed, the singer admitted "It was really hard" to try and "disguise" his voice.

He added: "It's been the most incredible opportunity and such a brilliant challenge to take on."

Will also admitted that as someone who is agoraphobic (the fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult), The Masked singer is the "perfect show".
