EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt is taking a break from the BBC soap, and his extended time off has sparked Strictly Come Dancing speculation.
The 52-year-old soap star, who has played Ian Beale on the show for 35 years, is reportedly going to be off-screen for 10 weeks.
Fans are certain he's swapping Albert Square for the Strictly Come Dancing studios.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Adam Woodyatt is taking a break from EastEnders for about 10 weeks? Could he be doing Strictly?"
While another Twitter user asked: "Is Adam Woodyatt doing #Strictly?"
"Ian Beale on Strictly tho you would love to see it", added a third.
A fourth wrote: "Adam's going on Strictly I can feel it, I want to see Ian Beale doing the Charleston ok.
"Ian Beale can have a whodunnit while Adam's off waltzing with Dianne Buswell, thank u."
Several of Adam's EastEnders' co-stars have appeared Strictly over the years, including Kellie Bright, Tameka Empson, and Jake Wood.
Daily Star Online have contacted Strictly Come Dancing reps for comment.
It was recently revealed that Ian is taking an extended 'holiday' from the soap.
A BBC source confirmed the break and claimed that it was due to an explosive plot twist.
A separate source said: "Writers are staying tight-lipped about what happens, so it’s not known yet what the future will hold for the character. There are no guarantees and anything can happen in Albert Square."
They added: "It will be strange for viewers not to have Ian on screen for such a long time. But it will be nice for Adam to have some time out after working on the show for so long."
Both the BBC and Adam, 52, declined to respond to requests for comment.
