EastEnders’ Danny Dyer admits he’s ’emotional’ about exit and reveals final scene date

Danny Dyer has admitted that he is "emotional" about his upcoming EastEnders exit and has revealed when fans can expect to see his final "epic" scenes.

The actor, 44, who plays legendary Mick Carter on the BBC One soap, attended the 2022 British Soap Awards on Saturday.

It was announced in January that Danny was leaving EastEnders after nine years of playing Mick in Albert Square.

Speaking exclusively to OK! on the red carpet, the actor spoke about his decision to leave and what soap fans can expect from his exit.

Danny said: "I'm really emotional about it, I really thought about it long and hard and it was the right move for me.

"I think I've done over a thousand episodes and I've been there for nearly 10 years, and I've been really grateful for some of the stuff they've let me do.

"So I want to wrap it up in the right way, I'm not allowed to tell you, I wish I could declare it but it's going to be huge and epic and it's going to be around Christmas, so… I've got about three and a bit months left."
