EastEnders fans horrified as Stacey gets attacked in Kush addiction twist

Stacey Slater (Lacey Tuner) was a victim of a horrifying attack in EastEnders on Thursday.

The loudmouth character was fuming during the latest visit to Albert Square as she discussed the actions of her former best friend Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

Believing that Ruby was trying to steal her kids from her, the feisty mother informed cousin Kat (Jessie Wallace) that she wouldn’t stand for it.

However, things took a creepy turn when Stacey's daughter Lily (Lilia Turner) discovered a dead rat that had been put through the letter box.

Stacey saw red and believed that Ruby was responsible, and therefore set off to confront her enemy with the rat in tow.

Ruby denied having any such knowledge of the rat, but her plans for a movie night with the kids and Martin Fowler (James Bye) left Stacey seething.

Stacey was later horrified to discover that Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) had allowed Martin to take the kids for the purposes of the movie night, and she wasted little time in heading to the club.

However, a mystery figure stalked her in the darkness, before proceeding to brutally attack her.

After being thrown against the wall opposite the club, Stacey slumped to the floor, and the mystery assailant took out his phone and took a photo of her — informing her that if she wants to play games, then they can do so.

The reference to "games" has led fans to think that Stacey's attack is in relation to Kush who has been experience money troubles after he started gambling online during lockdown.

Taking to Twitter, one fan predicted: "That attack on Stacey is definitely something to do with Kush."

Another eagle-eyed viewer said: "The rat and Stacey's attack was cos of Kush's gambling."

While a third posted: "OMG Stacey gonna think Ruby was actually behind it all though ain't she? Even though in reality it was completely down to Kush's and his gambling debts."

A fourth person said: "So I’m assuming the guy who attacked Stacey maybe thought it was Kat? So maybe something to do with Kush??"

"Kush knows exactly who is responsible for the rat. He's gong to be be attacked next," said a fifth fan.

A hooded figure was seen stalking the house earlier in the episode and Kush seemed worried by such a thing.

Will Kush come clean about his addiction?
