EastEnders killer Bobby Beale is viciously attacked

EastEnders Bobby Beale has only just arrived back to Albert Square after being released from prison and someone’s already out seeking blood.

The week gets off to a bumpy start when Ian (Adam Woodyatt) returns to Walford and has an awkward face-to-face encounter with his son.

In a desperate bid to smooth things over, Ben suggests they go to The Vic for a drink to celebrate the family reunion but the locals are less than pleased by Bobby’s presence.

Things take a turn for the worst in Tuesday’s episode, though as Ian and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) notice that the character, who has been recast and is now played by newbie Clay Milner Russel, has got bruises on his face.

Assuming Max Branning (Jake Wood) is behind the attack and is seeking revenge on the boy after he was framed for Lucy Beale’s murder, Ian calls the police leaving young offender Bobby completely mortified and refusing to cooperate.

Taking matters into his own hands, Ian decides to go and see what Max and is perplexed to learn that he denies any involvement.

Finally Bobby explains to his dad what really went happened and the revelation doesn’t bode well for the Beale clan.

Bobby’s savage attack comes just days after he’s set upon by a group of lads with his cap being removed in the bust up.

Although he managed to make it out relatively unscathed, it begs the question whether they’ll crop up again in the not so distant future.

Will Bobby ever be manage to settle back into Walford life following life inside?

Elsewhere in the installment, Ian is horrified to discover that Max is his new business partner at the restaurant because Masood Ahmed (Nitin Ganatra) has decided to quit.

One to watch: Tuesday 25 June at 7.30pm on BBC One.
