Alex Jones was told to stop shouting by a guest on The One Show on Thursday evening during an unfortunate technical glitch.

The 44 year old was hosting the hit BBC chat show alongside Michael Ball, with the pair being joined by EastEnders star Don Gilet.

Don, 54, was due on the show to discuss his exit from EastEnders, but struggled to connect to the actor at his home.

However, they managed to link to the Lucas Johnson portrayer at the very end of the episode, but still struggled to speak to the actor.

Welsh beauty Alex cheerily said: "Don, welcome along. We didn't think we were going to get you but here you are.

"So, a big night on EastEnders, a huge night, your last night on the square. What can you tell us about the way you leave?"

Instead of receiving a response, Alex and Michael watched as Don sat in silence and shook his head.

Alex asked: "Can you hear us, Don?," with him replying: "I can, what did you say? I couldn't hear you, you disappeared."

Raising her voice to speak clearer, she said: "Hey Don, this is your big moment. You've been a huge part of the storyline and tonight it all comes to a conclusion, but what can you tell us…," before the actor interjected.

He said: "Alex, shouting doesn't… it's not about shouting, it's just the signal, okay?"

Alex replied: "We've been struggling with signal, Don," as he was seen shaking head. "Basically, tell us what you can."

Don said: "I'm not going to tell you anything, you're going to have to watch it. It's on in a few seconds.

"But it's going to be quite, well I found it quite moving to shoot, put it that way."

After failing to receive information from Don, Alex said: "Okay, well shall we leave it there?"
