Emmerdale fans concerned for asexual Liv as she plans romp after Vinny row

Emmerdale fans have been left worried for Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) after they saw her appear to be considering sex, despite being asexual.

The character has enjoyed romantic, sex-free relationships in the past – most notably with Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), although that went down in flames recently.

During Tuesday night's episode, Liv had an argument with Vinny and also his mum Mandy (Lisa Riley), and they both got quite nasty.

Mandy told Liv that Vinny needed a "normal" girl, someone that he could enjoy a physical relationship as well.

And it seems her words stuck with Liv, as she was seen calling someone on the phone at the end of the episode, before holding up a condom in a wrapper.

Viewers are now worried for Liv, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the struggling character, who is going through an alcoholism storyline at the same time.

One said: "Poor Liv everyone is giving up on her. Mandy was bang out of order like she's something special, she's only a Dingle."

Another tweeted: "Liv is like a little girl lost that no-one wants to help."

"Liv needs proper help," a third viewer wrote.

Someone else speculated: "Liv's about to do something she's gonna regret."

And a fifth added: "I hope Liv turns things around soon."

Earlier in the episode, Mandy had told Liv that Vinny was taking Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) out for a drink.

She later met up with Vinny, who made it clear that he only wanted to be her friend following their break-up, which came when she punched him.

A rejected Liv returned home and was seen talking to someone on the phone, though it wasn't revealed who.

She made it clear that she just wanted it to be the two of them though, with the condom suggesting she was planning on having sex despite being asexual.

Liv has struggled with other people's perceptions of her sexuality, and it appears the cruel judgement may be getting to be too much for her, as she just wants Vinny back.

Is she about to make a huge mistake? And who was on the phone?
