Emmerdale fans confused after spotting brick blunder during Lydia Dingle attack

Emmerdale's Lydia and Sam are going through a horrendous time in the village and on Tuesday evening their home was attacked when a brick was thrown through their window.

At the very start of the programme, Emmerdale fans were shocked by the startling scenes, and were upset that Lydia was going through such a terrible time.

That said – many fans on Twitter were also perplexed that the perpetrator who threw the brick managed to get away so quickly.

Taking to Twitter one fan said: "So a farm in the middle of nowhere & someone throws a brick through the window, Sam runs out, no one to be seen. Not a soul. Where the f*** have they gone?"

While another joked: "Blimey, whoever threw the brick can run like lightning."

A third confused fan questioned: "How did a stone come through the window and the guys legged it before you got out of the door?"

Later on in the programme, the drama did not stop there for Lydia, as she was approached by a pair of thugs.
