Emmerdale’s Ryan Hawley has quit the soap after five years.
The actor, 33, who is best known for playing Robert Sugden, will reportedly leave the soap later this year.
According to The Sun, character Robert’s relationship with Aaron Dingle, which has been dubbed RobRon by fans, will come to an end.
A source told the publication: “Emmerdale fans have loved every minute of RobRon’s story, and what Ryan has brought to playing Robert.
“But he has decided to take a break from the show for the foreseeable future and try other projects.
“He will leave later this year, but fans can expect to see him on screen right up until the end of the year.
"He will be sorely missed.”
Ryan joined the show in 2014.
During his time on the show, Ryan won a Tric Award and the TV Choice Award for Best Soap actor.
He was the fourth actor to portray Robert Sugden.
Since joining, he has featured in many high-profile storylines.
The character has been through prison, a husband, a wife, manslaughter and affairs.
