How long will this series of Winter Love Island run for, and when is the final?

Love Island made a splash when it returned to our screens for its first ever winter edition in Cape Town.

Twelve new singletons arrived to the villa to look for love, and on the first episode they got into their first coupling.

And by the second episode, things had already been turned upside down as a pair of twins arrived and took two men of their choice .

But how long is this series of Love Island going to run for, and when is the finale?

This series will run for six weeks, slightly shorter than the show's usual eight week run time.

It returned on 12th January, so we can expect the finale to be around 23rd February.

This will see the country's favourite couple win £50,000, and then make the nail-biting decision as to whether they want to split the cash or steal it for themselves.

New additions Jess and Eve Gale, who are twins, claimed they had never argued with each other over a man, but that lasted less than 24 hours in the South African villa.

Angry Jess told her twin sister that she was "annoying", while Eve replied by admitting she "baffles" her during a tense row.

Both girls wanted to couple up with Callum Jones – but it was Eve that managed to steal the junk away from fuming Shaughna Phillips .

It was actually Jess who went up first and revealed that she had picked to be cuffed together with hot policeman Mike Boateng – stealing him from Leanne Amaning.

Pulling no punches, she admitted it was a difficult position to be in but she had to be "selfish".

She said: "Since I came here this guy did show some interest and paid me compliments which I like and I would be interested to see where it could go. So the boy I would like to couple up with is…Mike."

Mike seemed fairly reluctant when he stepped up to stand alongside his new partner.

Which was in direct contrast to Callum, who jumped up immediately and took his arm off Shaughna, who he was previously coupled up with.

Giving her reasons, Eva said: "The boy I've chosen, I’m excited to get to know a little bit more. I really like his vibe, the conversations I've had with him. So the boy I'd like to couple up with is…Callum."

That meant that vulnerable Shaughna and Leanne are now single and at risk of being sent packing.

They got a text confirming that there would be a recoupling at the end of the week and anyone not picked in a couple will be dumped from the Island.

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2.
