Yellowstone hasn’t been on our screens for almost a year, ending with the shocking cliffhanger that left the Duttons in danger. Paramount Network’s Western drama has been renewed for series four and it could be premiering in just a matter of months. As of yet, an official start date hasn’t been given.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Yellowstone.
All three previous series of Yellowstone have aired in June on Paramount Network.
So this could be a clear indication of when fans could expect season four to begin.
Filming was majorly delayed because of the pandemic but the cast and crew were able to get back on track late last year.
Shooting for series four has finished so there is a chance that, like its predecessors, season four could begin in June.
How many episodes will be in Yellowstone season 4?
The first series of Yellowstone which aired in 2018 was made up of nine episodes.
After this, both series two and three were upped by one extra instalment, with a total of 10 episodes each.
As of yet, Paramount Network hasn’t officially stated just how long season four is going to be.
But if series two and three are any indication, then season four will most likely consist of 10 episodes as well.
Even though series four has yet to air, there is already a hint that fans could also have a potential fifth season to look forward to.
Yellowstone is shot at the Chief Joseph Ranch in Montana which can be visited by the public when filming isn’t taking place.
Opening up to the NY Post, the show’s location manager Mark Jarrett said: “We locked in use of the house for five seasons.”
Of course, the drama will have to be renewed by Paramount Network but the fact the creators have made plans to film there once again does indicate there is a strong chance a series five could be on its way.

The Chief Montana website also teases the possibility of future filming taking place.
The owners of the ranch usually say when it is closed off to the public for shooting.
On the site, it says the filming schedule for 2022 is “not available at this time”, once again highlighting the fact a season five is being discussed.
So there could be plenty more episodes to come in the future if a series five is made.
Yellowstone season three ended with the Dutton family being individually attacked by an unknown rival.
John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) was shot and Kayce’s (Luke Grimes) office was infiltrated by masked gun men.
Beth (Kelly Reilly) was at work when a suspicious package arrived which her assistant opened.
A bomb them went off and it was left unclear whether or not she had survived the blast.
Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount Network.
