I was in a CAR CRASH with Come Dine with Me crew while starring on the show – they never even apologised

A FORMER Come Dine With Me contestant has claimed she was in a car crash while travelling with a crew member – but never received an apology from the show.

Christine Ogden, 72, took part in the popular Channel 4 series in 2019 when it was filmed in the Bath and Bristol area.

The former pub landlady didn't get off to the best of starts on the programme when she was involved in a collision while travelling to the first meal of the week.

Revealing all about her ordeal to The Sun Online, Christine said: "When I first went on the first day, I was in the front of the car with a member of the crew as they like to hide you when you first arrive.

"But he reversed back quickly to pull up outside the girl's house and crashed into another car.

"[The driver] was more concerned with the 4×4 as it was cameramen in the other one and it was wrote off.

"It was a hire car as well the one he was driving, and it was wrecked and I'm sat in the front."

Christine claims no one other than the driver knew she had been in the car at the time as she recalled speaking to one of the cameramen later on.

She said: "I said to him when he was doing the filming I said 'Do you know, I was in that car crash outside.'

"He went 'You weren't sat outside?' and I said 'Yeah', but nothing, there was nothing. They treat you like a piece of meat.

"A lot of them didn't even know as they were inside the girl's house filming."

Christine followed it up once filming had finished but was left disappointed by a lack of apology.

She said: "I did ring them up mind when we'd finished and I said to them about it and I never heard anything back from them and that was that.

"There is just no care or nothing, I had a bit of a bad neck for a few days after."

Christine also revealed how crew members set her up for a row with fellow contestant Shelley.
