I’m A Celeb star slams easy trials and says they used to be ‘hardcore’ in past

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 's Nicola McLean has slammed ITV's "easy" trials.

The 2008 star revealed her thoughts during an exclusive chat with the Daily Star.

Talking about the yoga trial, Nicola, 41, said: "I thought that was a very easy trail, yes it's disgusting, yes, you'd be gagging, but you're not scared.

"I think offal and fermented fruit should have been one of the things they poured on their heads, why didn't they put in cockroaches? They should have made them scared at least. It was disgusting but not scary.

"What was that trial? Going in yoga poses and sitting with disgusting stuff. Anyone could do that it, was a minor really."

"I mean none of them have been that memorable, have they? So maybe yeah they have been easier.

"Jill Scott's one – unless you're scared of heights, it wasn't hard, was it? I don't like heights so I would have found that harder than she did but do you remember the year Stacey Solomon did the bus one?

"If you don't, look it up, it was basically a school bus and there were different compartments and it was hardcore. Similar sort of thing to Jill's but look at Stacey's and you will know what I mean."

Despite Nicola slamming Jill's trial as "easy", the football star has certainly won over the public and has managed to find herself a spot in the final for the 2022 series.

Jill is favourite to win the overall series after even her fellow campers threw their support behind her.

She will be joined in the final alongside Matt Hancock and Owen Warner while the axed celebrities are waiting to see the finalists back in the hotel nearby.

Their most recent trial saw Mike Tindall join them for the cyclone challenge before his exit – and although it's one of the easier trials in terms of fear, it's a hard one to complete.

It's famously one of the most beloved trials of the series and luckily they managed to successfully get all four stars – so they ended on a high.

Now they just have one more challenge to complete to see who will truly be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
