Janette Manrara and Rylan confirmed to return as hosts of Strictly – It Takes Two

Ex Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Janette Manrara and former X Factor star Rylan Clark-Neal have both been confirmed to return as co-hosts of Strictly – It Takes Two, which will be back on screens on Monday 26 September.

Rylan, 33, has presented Strictly – It Takes Two, which airs every weeknight, since 2019, with Janette, 38, joining him in 2021 after hanging up her Strictly dancing shoes. Previous hosts have included Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball.

Rylan said: “I’m so excited to be back at Strictly – It Takes Two for my fourth year. I absolutely love being part of the show.

"I’m so thrilled that my television wife Janette is joining me for the ride and we can’t wait to bring you all the back stage gossip from this year’s Strictly extravaganza. We can’t wait to start."

Janette said: “I am so thrilled to be back hosting It Takes Two alongside the amazing Rylan!

"I’m very excited to bring the audience more great conversations with our couples, a lot of fun weeknight television entertainment and, of course, to celebrate my favourite show on TV, Strictly!”

According to BBC sources, the show will continue to feature "all the backstage gossip, training room titbits and latest Strictly news".

The Strictly follow-up show is also set to include "exclusive interviews with the contestants, professional dancers, judges and behind the scenes team, expert analysis and celebrity guest panels."

Strictly returns next month and this year's series has quite the full line-up, with contestants revealed as Kym Marsh, Fleur East, Will Mellor and Matt Goss, along with many more famous names competing for the trophy.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas will also return to the panel when Strictly starts in September.

Last year's series saw Eastenders actress Rose-Ayling Ellis win with professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

Following her departure from the show, Janette's pro dancer husband Aljaž Škorjanec announced his exit also earlier this year.

Janette continues to work with her husband and discussed this as she opened up about her life post-Strictly in a recent interview.

“All Aljaž and I have known since the day we met has been working together,” Janette told The Independent.

“When we’re not together, that’s when it’s more weird for us than when we are together, because it’s what we’re used to.”

The dancer-turned-presenter will be kept busy with her gig hosting It Takes Two with Rylan, as she shared she's recorded a "fun" TV show with husband Aljaž that sees them travel across the country in their first non-dance related project together.
