Katie Price jokes about her driving ban as son Harvey enjoys the dodgems – The Sun

KATIE Price has seen the funny side of her two year driving ban as her eldest son Harvey took charge of navigating a dodgem car.

The mum of five, who was slapped with the motoring restraint earlier this year, left her followers giggling as she sarcastically quipped: "At least someone can get behind the wheel."

Katie, 41, and Harvey, who she looks after at weekends, had headed for a fun-filled Saturday at the fair.

She looked on proudly as he took command of a silver bumper car and navigated it around the circuit.

Harvey, 17, who suffers from Prader-Willi Syndrome, looked focused and confident as he put his foot down, driving against a backdrop which read "Crazy Racer."

Katie snapped him in action and uploaded a video and image to her Instagram page, with the caption: “Harvey absolutely loving his first time behind the wheel .. at least someone can get behind the wheel.”

One fan appreciated her banter, simply commenting "Brilliant" underneath.

Yet another was more sceptical, and posted: "Drink driving ain't a lolz tho really."

In October, Katie was issued a two year driving ban after refusing to tell police who was behind the wheel when her pink Range Rover crashed last year.

She failed to appear at the Bexley Magistrates Court sentencing and was slapped with six penalty points and the ban.

She previously pleaded guilty to failing to tell police who was driving her £130,000 car, in the smash in October 2018, in Bexley.

Price's lawyer wrote a letter asking for an adjournment, but District Judge Robert Hunter refused the request.

The glamour model already had six points on her licence for previous offences.

Sentencing her, the judge also gave Katie a £440 fine, £100 costs and a £44 surcharge.

In a statement read in her absence by District Judge Robert Hunter, she said: “Back in October my mental health was seriously affected.

“I sought help from a rehab centre for PTSD.

"During this time I wasn’t in control of my work, property or mail or in general.

“I am now in a clearer mindset and tackling my issues and getting back on my feet.

“I wasn’t driving at the time. I plead guilty.”

Meanwhile for Harvey, it was his second trip to an amusement park within the week, after he was spotted with Katie at Alton Towers in Staffordshire.

They were also joined by Katie's children Bunny and Jett, her kids with ex stripper Kieran Hayler.

Kris Boyson, with whom Katie has reignited her relationship following her fling with toyboy Charles Drury, was also on-hand for their daredevil day out.

The pair visited the iconic theme park while it was hosting its Halloween-themed Scarefest attraction.
