Kim Kardashian Blasted by Nicole Brown’s Sister Over ‘Distasteful’ Murder Case Joke on ‘SNL’

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star has come under fire from the family of Simpson’s slain wife for making a ‘distasteful’ joke about the murder case.

AceShowbizKim Kardashian‘s O.J. Simpson joke on “Saturday Night Live” has been slammed as “beyond inappropriate” by Tanya Brown, the sister of the former American football star’s slain wife, Nicole Brown.

While Kim’s Saturday (09Oct21) debut as host of the late-night sketch comedy show received mostly good notices, Tanya was fuming because she felt the reality TV star’s opening monologue made light of Nicole’s murder.

She told TMZ on Tuesday (12Oct21) the O.J. cracks were in “poor taste” and Nicole’s brutal killing – of which Simpson was famously acquitted in 1995 – should not be a subject for comedy. She described the jokes as “beyond inappropriate and insensitive.”

In her monologue, the SKIMS founder poked fun at her own family and mentioned that O.J. was the first black man she ever met, thanks to her late attorney father Robert Kardashian, who was part of the ex-athlete’s defence team at his landmark trial.

She invited the audience to guess who the first black person she ever met was, adding, “Want to have a stab in the dark at who it was…? O.J. does leave a mark, or several, or none at all – I still don’t know,” she quipped.

Kim reportedly refused to do certain jokes suggested to her about her estranged husband Kanye West, but Tanya believes she – or her mother Kris Jenner, who was one of Nicole’s closest friends and also appeared on “SNL” with Kim – should have objected to this “distasteful” joke as well.

TMZ editors reported Tanya was also shocked to hear the audience laughing at Kim’s comments.
