Lorrainefans were concerned for Darren Day after he appeared on the ITV show.
The singer and actor appeared on Wednesday’s edition (August 17) of the ITV morning series to promote his show Footloose, which he appears in with Jake Quickenden, however viewers were concerned when the conversation turned to addiction.
The 54-year-old star previously revealed he secretly battled a crack cocaine addiction before being saved by his pal Robbie Williams and he opened up more to Christine Lampard about his battle.

Revealing all on the programme, Darren explained: “Honestly, this is not being dramatic. Without Rob I would not be here. And I mean, I don't mean on here with you. I mean, not on the planet.
“I was just spiralling this down and down and it was very dark.”
The former Celebrity Big Brother star then went on to explain the breakthrough moment he had because of Robbie.
He explained: “I literally burst into tears on the motorway. And I was drinking very heavily at the time and other stuff. And I phoned Rob and I literally just broke down and I just I cried like a little boy to him.”
He continued: “He sent me to rehab in South Africa for two months. I was wrongly diagnosed for 14 years and put on the wrong meds and through Rob and the team that he put me with, in 2020 I was diagnosed with bipolar and suddenly my life just made sense and I realised why I've been feeling so awful.”
Darren added: “I've got this wonderful team. I'm on the right meds. I haven't felt like this for 25 years … I owe my life to Rob and we've FaceTime three or four times a week and it's just like, it is one of the most special friendships I've ever had and I love him dearly. Yeah, without him, I wouldn't be here.”
But fans were quick to take to twitter to express their concern for the former Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat star.
One viewer wrote: “Darren Day get well soon mate.”
Whilst another wrote: “Darren Day sounds like he’s on some sort of meds now. I wish him well.”
A third viewer asked: “Is Darren Day OK?”
And a fourth speculated: “He’s not a well man. It’s lithium making him like that. My sister sounds p***ed and shakes on it.”
Whilst a fifth said: “Mental health does need to be highlighted more.”
Amid all of this, Darren spoke more about why he’s so open about his struggles as he said he wants to get rid of the stigma around talking about mental health problems.
He revealed: “I’ll tell you what I’ve been trying to do. With addiction and with mental health, I have started talking about it because I think for us blokes, we don't talk about it.”
