Love Island viewers were shocked with how much drama was in tonight’s episode and following the public vote last night, Danny Williams and Arabella Chi, as well as Maura Higgins and Tom Walker were in the bottom two, as the most unpopular couples.
It was then up to the other Islanders to decide which boy and girl would leave the villa that night, and those watching at home saw Arabella and Tom get given the boot.
“I’m so gutted,” Danny explained in the Beach Hut. “Shocked and gutted. The boys had such a horrible decision to make they had to pick somebody, [but] it’s a difficult pill to swallow.”
Following her brief time on the reality dating show, model Arabella spoke out about the outcome of the vote and whether or not she thinks her partner Danny will follow her back to England.
“I knew that I was in danger because I was the newest Islander,” Arabella explained. “If there was one person they would miss the least it would be me. I was still surprised though.
“I think the boys thought the girls would choose Danny, because of the Yewande [Biala] situation.”
Fans will remember how Danny chose Arabella over Yewande in the recoupling earlier this week which in turn, sent the Irish scientist home, much to the anger of her friends.
As for Danny’s future on the show, Arabella continued: “I don’t know if Danny will stay now I’ve gone. That decision is with him.
“He was gutted when I left and said I had given him the best week of his life. It’s up to him though. If he does stay he might be scared of jeopardising things with us.”
With such confidence in her and Danny’s connection, has Arabella predicted a Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton scenario from 2017?
And it seems fans are also keen for Danny to make a swift exit after Arabella.
Taking to Twitter to discuss tonight’s episode, one said: “Danny we’ll get you soon #LoveIsland.”
“Danny should go with her #DannyOut #LoveIsland,” a second commented.
Someone else suggested: “Where’s Theo at to tell Danny to go home as well #LoveIsland?”
“If Danny really likes her he should leave too #LoveIsland,” a viewer wrote, while another added: “Why isn’t Danny leaving with her??? wtf #LoveIsland.”
I don’t know if Danny will stay now I’ve gone.
Alongside this, the final clip of the long episode saw a teaser for Casa Amor.
Fans will remember last year when the villa was split up and the boys were sent to another villa whereby they were joined by six new girls.
To add to this, the girls were joined by six new boys in the main villa, the aim was for the original Islanders to decide whether they wanted to stick or switch their partner.
This year, the plot twist is back and the 12 new contestants have been revealed.
But it seems Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames could be on the rocks.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV.
