Love Island star Faye Winter had a bit of a nightmare when she got flustered trying to remember the alphabet during Sunday night’s instalment of life in the villa.

Enjoying the hot Mallorca sunshine, Faye, 26, was lounging about with friends Sharon Gaffka, Rachel Finni and Liberty Poole.

The group were doing some sunbathing when Faye started singing her A B Cs.

When she got to the letter P however, Devon-born Faye got stumped and began questioning her own knowledge.

"Is that actually right?” Faye asked the other girls, completely puzzled. “I don’t know the rest."

"You don’t know the alphabet?" the others exclaimed, stunned by their friend.

Sharon tried to assist by reeling off the rest of the letters, but Faye became even more tongue-tied as she asked: “What?… Oh my god!”

Faye failed once more and Sharon shook her head: “B****y hell girl. I can’t believe I’m teaching you how to do the alphabet!"

“Faye forgetting the alphabet was hilarious I must say #LoveIsland,” one fan posted on Twitter.

Another viewer shared: “Faye, babe. Not knowing the alphabet? I can’t defend you on this one #LoveIsland.”

It comes as Faye was one of the lucky four girls picked to go on a speed date with newcomer Teddy Soares.

Sitting across from each other in the Hideaway, Faye told her date: “You’re very attractive, a very attractive man.

“Nice eyes, I feel like you’re staring into my soul a little bit.”

The duo then proceeded to play footsie under the table, and Teddy admitted he’d never gone that far in a first date before.

“It’s quite cute,” he said with a giggle, but it’s a mystery who Teddy will pick in the recoupling tonight.

Love Island continues tonight at 10pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
