Fans of ITV’s Love Island have dubbed the first Unseen Bits episode “boring” while praising TikTok farmer Will Young for “carrying” the show.
Each week, Love Island airs a special episode on a Saturday that is usually full of all the hilarious unseen moments, arguments and drama.
But after the first instalment yesterday, fans took to social media to share their thoughts, and sadly, they're not wholly positive.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Why are some of them so dry like it’s unseen bits where’s your personality.”
Another said: “The old #LoveIsland was so much better because 1) smoking area 2) all the stuff they put in unseen bits now was just in the f**king episode.
"They would have enough time if they didn’t do those stupid dramatic pauses now 3) everyone being so SERIOUS all the time.”
“Lmaoo I always skip unseen bits ngl,” a third said, as another added: “This year’s #LoveIsland is so dull even #unseenBits is putting me to sleep.”
Other fans recalled previous seasons and how, most notably, former winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti “really stole the show.”
“I miss when unseen bits were just Davide and Ekin Su chasing eachother around the villa,” one person joked.
While a lot of fans seem disappointed with the season so far, others have suggested that farmer Will Young, 23, has “stolen the show.”
One fan explained: “Will is top notch only […] a bit nerdy and awkward at first them girl don't want him but he's proper.”
“I'm in love with Will. he is this show,” another said, as a third added: “One of these chick's betta give Will some play, he's an actual gem. Hilarious, cute and oh so wholesome.”
Will, who went viral thanks to his reaction to a villa row earlier in the week, has not had the easiest time on the show.
While he stepped forward for most of the girls to pick him during the introductory episode, he was snubbed by former Michelle Keegan body double Olivia Hawkins.
After bombshell Tom Clare arrived on the scene, Will was left on his lonesome as host Maya Jama said: “In 24 hours Tom will get the chance to couple up with the girl of his choice, leaving one of you single and your place on the island at risk.
“I suggest you boys get grafting and hold on tight to your girls.”
Luckily, the TikTok star might not have to wait long before someone comes along for him.
Former Love Island Australia contestant Jessie Wynter, who is set to arrive in the South African villa during Sunday night’s episode, has set her sights on the farmer.
Speaking to The Sun, she explained: "My dream is to have a big farm with six or seven kids. So Farmer Will certainly interests me.
"I’m not the best farmer. I gave it a crack and I can pretend I’m a good farmer. Farmer Will definitely does interest me.
"I’m from Australia, I’m a country girl, speaking to people who have grown up in that similar environment will be great."
