With just a month to go before new episodes of Lucifer are finally released on Netflix, fans are keeping their eyes open for the first trailer for the rest of season five. In the meantime, Lesley-Ann Brandt’s new Instagram post has given fans another taste of what’s to come.

Lesley-Ann Brandt has released another glimpse of Mazikeen’s dance moves in the upcoming musical episode of Lucifer’s fifth season.

The Biblical fantasy drama will be returning to screens on Friday, May 28 after the first eight episodes of season five dropped on Netflix back in August.

Along with what will undoubtedly be a stunning season premiere, the next eight episodes will also give the cast the chance to put their best foot forward.

While the series has already become known for its stunning musical moments, episode ten, ‘Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam’ is promising an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza from start to finish.

Brandt’s latest Instagram post seems to confirm her demonic character Mazikeen will perform her own solo at some point in the new episode.

She captioned the short video: “Musical episode you say? Join me on Saturday at @jalmicsintl one on one.”

The actress’s new post also drew attention to her appearance on Jalmics International’s ‘Feel Good & Stay Motivated’ panel coming up on May 1.

Meanwhile, the new clip from Lucifer season five has given fans some clue towards where Mazikeen will pick up after her dramatic turn at the end of part one.

After failing to reconcile with her mother, Lilith (played by L Scott Caldwell), Maze’s search for her own soul was cruelly dismissed by her long-time companion, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).

Having teamed with Lucifer’s evil twin Michael in the jaw-dropping midseason finale, the misguided demon could be sent down an even darker path over the course of the new instalment.

Her impassioned dancing in the new clip certainly suggests Mazikeen will be going full-on demon for the first time during the second half of season five.

Then again, her hot pink leggings, sultry dance moves and some provocative purple lighting could also hint towards some romantic conflict for the demonic bounty hunter.

As Maze’s potential love interest Eve (Inbar Lavi) is tapped to make an appearance at some point, she could be returning from her travels for even more agonising sexual tension in part two.

Once her latest post was released on Tuesday, astounded comments poured in from Brandt’s 2.8 million followers.

One excited ‘Lucifan’ said: “Omg this is gonna be so much fun.”

And another impatient viewer replied: “May 28 is too far away!”

Before the show’s highly anticipated musical special gets underway, Lucifer and his father God (Dennis Haysbert) will finally reunite in the midseason premiere, ‘Family Dinner’.

Season five was initially intended to be Lucifer’s final instalment, before Netflix decided to give fans one last hurrah to see the show off properly.

Lucifer’s penultimate season could be the devil’s darkest chapter yet, so thankfully fans will have the chance to enjoy a good old-fashioned sing-along before the rest of the series gets underway.

Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 will be released on Friday, May 28 on Netflix.
