NCIS Los Angeles returned on Sunday, November 8, on CBS for its 12th season following a delay in airing. As the drama wasn’t able to start shooting until September because of the pandemic, this put back the premiere but luckily NCIS LA is now on our screens. After the latest episode, many fans have been left discussing what is going to happen to Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen).
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from NCIS LA.
Unlike the rest of the team at NCIS, Deeks is not a special agent.
Instead, he works as the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) NCIS Liaison Officer, thus why he isn’t always joining everyone else in the action.
He has been splitting his time between the two organisations but with police reforms on the horizon, it is unclear if Deeks will keep his job.
So could this open the door for the lovable Deeks to finally become a full-time Special Agent? Fans will have to wait to find out what happens next.
Is NCIS LA on this week?
NCIS Los Angeles’ latest episode Angry Karen aired on Sunday, November 22 in its usual time slot of 8pm ET (Eastern Time).
As the Thanksgiving weekend is approaching, there is usually a shift in the TV schedule where shows are delayed by a week to make way for the American football league NFL.
This has left viewers concerned they may not get their weekly fix of NCIS LA action.
Thankfully, this year, the drama will still be on this weekend but at a slightly different time.
While NCIS LA normally airs at 8pm ET on CBS, this is going to be put back by 20 minutes for those living in New York.
The new episode will instead be on at 8.20pm ET and 7.20pm CT (Central Time) for those in the Big Apple.
The NFL game will also affect when NCIS LA airs at the weekend for those living in Charlotte, Philly, Cleveland, Atlanta, as well as mobile parts of states Florida, Kansas, Los Angeles, Michigan and South Dakota.
In these areas, NCIS LA will be on at 8.13pm ET and 7.13pm CT, on Sunday, November 29.

NCIS Los Angeles season 12: Why is Eric Beale not in series 12 ep 1? [EXPLAINER]
NCIS LA’s fourth instalment which airs at the weekend will be called Cash Flow.
The synopsis for this episode reads: “The body of a murdered Navy reservist is found by thieves in the midst of a robbery and NCIS must work with the burglars to find the killer.
“Also, Kensi and Deeks struggle to decide if they are ready to make the leap and buy a house.”
Someone who still hasn’t been properly seen in series 12 though is Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt).
Hetty roped in Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) to fill in for her while she is busy out of the office.
The eccentric boss was calling from what looked like a war zone but Hetty didn’t reveal her location.
So will she be making another appearance in Cash Flow or are fans going to have to wait a little while longer to see Hetty on screen again?
NCIS Los Angeles is available to watch on CBS.
