After his all too brief appearance at the end of Book II: Ghost, Tommy Egan (played by Joseph Sikora) is finally back on Starz, this time with his very own series set within the world of Power. In Book IV: Force, streetwise Tommy sets up pipelines in his new home of Chicago, and footballer-turned-actor Isaac Keys has given Express.co.uk exclusive details about Tommy’s new partner, Diamond.

Power newcomer Isaac Keys has already expressed interest in crossing over with other characters in Starz’ sprawling crime series.

Following the whirlwind conclusion of the first six seasons of the original show in 2020, the world of Power had continued with two new spin-offs, Ghost and Raising Kanan.

While Raising Kanan turns the clocks back to 1990s New York, Ghost continues the legacy of the show in the present and follows Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) balancing his studies with a life of crime.

However, fans have been waiting on tenterhooks to see the return of Tommy, one of the show’s main players following the death of Tariq’s father, James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (Omari Hardwick).

Ghost’s best friend, business partner and occasional rival will finally come back to screens this week in a third spin-off, and quickly strikes up a deal with ex-con Diamond (Isaac Keys).

Diamond is set to become yet another iconic member of the Power family once Tommy’s exploits in Chicago get going.

With the series already expected to continue for several seasons, series regular Isaac is keen for any opportunities to meet up with the cast of Ghost.

When asked about potential crossovers, he told the Express: “I don’t know, cause it’s like… first of all, you just don’t know in Power.”

“And I think that’s what they’ve done a great job with, is curating these different lanes.

“They may veer off to somewhere you didn’t think it was going to go.”

“They’ll just be like, ‘Oh, my God’. The fans, even myself, are like, ‘wait a minute, he’s doing what?’”

One of the biggest surprises in Ghost’s debut season was the return of Tommy during the finale, Heart of Darkness.

Tommy briefly returned after apparently leaving New York when he caught wind of Tariq and his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton) trying to pin Ghost’s murder on him.

Several other minor players have also made their way into the sequel series, but could new characters like Diamond eventually cross paths with the St Patricks?

Isaac teased: “Seeing Diamond and Tariq in a room, that’d be very interesting.”

Diamond could set his sights on Tariq as his loyalty to Tommy grows and he discovers his partner’s grudge against the surviving St Patricks.

“You know, I’d be open to it,” he confirmed. “Or whomever else.

“It’s a great opportunity, and if it comes about then let’s go for it. Let’s roll with it.”

First, Tommy has to deal with Chicago’s powerful Flynn family to clear the way for his own business, so any crossovers may have to wait until the second season.

Power Book IV: Force premieres Sunday, February 6 on Starz in the USA and Starzplay in the UK.
