RHONJ star Teresa Giudice’s stunning daughter Gia, 18, SOBS because jailbird dad Joe misses prom night – The Sun

REAL Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s stunning daughter Gia sobbed because her imprisoned father Joe missed her prom night.

The emotional scene was a heartbreaking occasion for a family torn apart by their legal battles.

Gia, then 18, said during a confessional taped last May: "I try to make the best out of every situation.

"So even though my father can't be here with me today, my support system is amazing. And I couldn't be more grateful for it."

The high school senior wept getting her hair and makeup done when her dad called her from an ICE facility.

Joe, who is not an American citizen, was detained  for six months until he was deported to Italy in October 2019.

He said: "At least I was there for the eight grade prom, now mommy's there today.

"I know it stinks that I'm not there, you know. I miss you girls so much. You girls get me choked up, I can't even talk."

Teresa's brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa also came by to wish Gia well on her special day.

Joe tried to console the teary-eyed teen telling her: "It's a happy day. You don't cry today"

Gia appreciated her uncle's support, responding: "That's why you make me cry, cause you're like a second dad. I love you."

Co-star Dolores Catania's son Frankie escorted Gia to the dance.

The families posed for pictures commemorating the high school milestone.

This RHONJ episode follows Joe and ex Teresa splitting in December after more than 20 years of marriage.

Joe is now awaiting the outcome of his latest federal deportation appeal in his native country of Italy.

He was recently caught dancing with women bikini-clad women in Mexico.

But an understanding Teresa responded to the conflicting images saying in an interview with E! News: "That's what he's supposed to be doing.

"We're not together…I want him to be happy.

"Obviously, if I'm fine with it, they'll be fine with it," the mother of four told them.

"I made it good for [the kids]," she reiterated. "And they were fine with it."

Joe and Teresa's four daughters, Gia, now 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11, spent the holidays with Joe in Italy, while Teresa stayed back home in New Jersey.
