Tony Hutchinson’s (Nick Pickard) world was shattered into a million pieces during tonight’s instalment of Hollyoaks, as he came to learn via his controlling dad Edward (Joe McGann) that he’s got a brain tumour.
Tony extended an olive branch to Edward during last night’s episode, as he invited him round for lunch with Verity (Eva O’Hara) in an effort to celebrate the young woman’s successful new venture.
However, the sinister surgeon wasted little time in getting up to his old tricks, as he put drugs in Tony’s drink.
As the evening came to an end, Tony collapsed to the floor and, following a seizure, he became unconscious — leaving all those around him worried, as evil Edward called for an ambulance.
During tonight’s episode, Tony awoke in the hospital and he was concerned about what had transpired — and Edward revealed that more tests and scans would need to be run to ensure his son is okay.
However, Tony was worried about putting Diane through any more stress, and therefore he checked himself out of the hospital prior to getting his scan results.
Tony arrived at Luke’s (Gary Lucy) party — much to Diane’s dismay — but in spite of her efforts, he refused to leave.
However, Edward soon arrived, and he revealed in front all the party-goers that Tony has a brain tumour — a revelation which left the Chester stalwart devastated.
Is Edward telling the full truth?
If so, will Tony survive?
