Journalists Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire appeared on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain to speak to hosts Alastair Campbell and Susanna Reid, and the 60-year-old referred to Alastair as the former presenter of the ITV morning show, Piers Morgan. Following the blunder, Campbell yelled at Andrew to stop calling him Piers.
Discussing Keir Starmer’s speech, Andrew Pierce interrupted Alastair, before commenting: “Sorry, Piers- Alastair.”
“Stop calling me Piers! God’s sake!” Alastair shouted as Susanna laughed.
“The ghost of Piers Morgan,” she remarked, as Alastair looked baffled.
Andrew continued: “You look too similar, you just look a bit older Alastair.”
