BBC Breakfast was hosted by Louise Minchin and Dan Walker on Wednesday morning and one of the big topics of the day was weddings. The pair invited some engaged couples onto the BBC show to talk about the difficulties of organising a wedding amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the ever-changing rules. However, things took an awkward turn when Dan made a comment about unwanted guests.
Dan joked that having to reduce your wedding guest list amid a pandemic, might not be all bad news.
He remarked: “Well if you’re looking for a tiny benefit, occasionally you have to invite people to your wedding that you don’t want to…”
Co-host Louise had her mouth wide open in shock as Dan said: “No you know what I mean. You know what I mean.
“That you wouldn’t ordinarily if you could have a smaller day,” Dan explained.
“Stop, stop, stop digging!” Louise urged her co-star.
