Stranger Things season 4: Eleven star drops major hint ‘dead’ character is ALIVE

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Stranger Things season three.

Stranger Things fans were absolutely distraught to see Jim Hopper (played by David Harbour) seemingly killed off.

He was on a mission with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) to close the rift to the Upside Down, but one of the Russian villains tried to get in the way.

While Hopper and Joyce did manage to seal the opening, it came at a price, that being the former’s life.

However, a new post from Millie Bobby Brown on Instagram seems to hint at Hopper’s return in season four.

She shared some sweet snaps from a recent Stranger Things reunion to her 27.3 million followers.

Captioned “daddy daughter date”, Millie posed up a storm with her on-screen father, David.

The most interesting part came from the enormous beard the actor was now sporting.

Most think it is strong confirmation he is actually still alive, especially combined with the post-credits scene.

In that, the show revealed the identity of an unnamed “American” who is hidden in a Russian base.

Some fans thought there was actually a link between the beard and whether Hopper was trapped for months and maybe years.

One wrote: “Am I the only one who believes David’s beard is an indication to Hopper being the ‘American’?

Another added: “I am guessing he is growing his beard for season four because he is stuck in the Upside Down.”

“Hopefully growing that beard to make it look like he was kept in a Russian base,” said a third.

Meanwhile, some fans think Eleven (Millie) will turn out to be a villain in season four.

She lost her powers in the epic finale and now a new theory has emerged suggesting the Mind Flayer is actually within her, controlling her.

One Reddit user compared Eleven’s leg to that of Billy’s (Dacre Montgomery) after he was possessed.

The fan said: “If Eleven is infected, the Mind Flayer could control her like it did with Billy, Will and the flayed, to eventually destroy her or use her to get more control/spread.”

With Eleven now vulnerable, it seems the Mind Flayer could actually take over her body.

But what evil will it do in season four and will the gang be able to overcome it?

Stranger Things seasons 1-3 are streaming now on Netflix.
