The Expanse is coming to an end with the sixth and final season. While the news is bittersweet for fans, the series is ending on an explosive high that will see the characters all come together for one final push for a better future. Premiering on December 10 on Amazon Prime Video, Express.co.uk has all the details on episode one’s cast.

Who is in the cast of season six, episode one?

Jim Holden – Steven Strait

Of course, leading the team once again is Jim Holden, played by Steven Strait.

Season six picks up with Holden and the crew of the Rocinante months into the war between the inner planets and The Belt.

Holden is feeling the strain of the conflict at this point into the war, with the added stress and a disillusioned team.

Outside of The Expanse, Strait is best known for Magic City, Here Awhile, and Revenge.

Naomi Nagata – Dominique Tipper

The Rocinante’s chief tech expert is back again after an emotionally challenging fifth season.

Naomi is caught between two lives – her loyalty to her crew and her upbringing in The Belt.

She will have to make several crucial decisions in season six, and some may cause the crew to splinter over their consequences.

Played by Dominique Tipper, the British actress can be seen in The Girl with All the Gifts, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and MindGamers.

Amos Burton – Wes Chatham

Amos is back on the crew with a renewed sense of purpose after the previous season’s antics back on Earth.

It won’t be an easy ride for the engineer, as Amos will start to question exactly what he should be fighting for in the final season.

While he will always be loyal to the crew, he quickly realises that there is more to life than simply fighting.

Before The Expanse, Chatham was best known for playing Castor in The Hunger Games franchise.

Chrisjen Avasarala – Shohreh Aghdashloo

Everyone’s favourite leader of Earth is back again, but this time she will be showing more of the humanity that she represents.

Avasarala has softened over the years, and while she is still the no-nonsense leader people love, her differing strategies will lead to people calling into question her judgment.

However, once again Avasarala will see the bigger picture and do whatever it takes to protect the Earth that all of humanity once called home.

Played by Shohreh Aghdashloo, the star is best known for The Lion Guard, The Two Princes, and voicing Admiral Shala-Raan vas Tonbay in the Mass Effect franchise.

Clarissa ‘Peaches’ Mao – Nadine Nicole

Clarissa Moa is the newest member of the crew, and she has a lot to prove to everyone other than Amos.

While she is no longer trying to kill Holden, actions have consequences, and it will take a great deal to bring the team to her side.

Lovingly called Peaches by Amos, all she is really looking for is a place to call home and a group of people she can call friends.

Nadine Nicole is best known for starring in The Village, Casual and The Young and the Restless.

The Expanse season six will premiere on December 10 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
