The Masked Singer: Badger performs Kelly Clarkson track
The Masked Singer is hotting up and this weekend, two celebrities will be unmasked in a double elimination. But speculation is still rife as to who is hiding behind the Badger costume. Since the show started on Boxing Day 2020, the likes of American superstar Ne-Yo, Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard and Strictly Come Dancing ex-professional dancer Kevin Clifton have been thrown into the ring as the famous face singing in the giant animal outfit. But, a certain talented musician and internet sensation has also been said to be taking part in the show and posing as Badger; KSI.
YouTuber and rapper KSI appeared alongside GMB’s Showbiz and Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold to address the rumour that he is Badger.
“There’s a rumour in our office and a few bets going around that you’re the badger in The Masked Singer. Care to comment?” Richard asked.
“Erm, no,” he replied before discussing the ‘top secret’ project he has been taking part in.
Perhaps he was just throwing fans off scent in a bid to ensure his identity is not unveiled this weekend.

His last performance was Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus, which threw the panel; Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross with special guest Alan Carr.
The most recent clues Badger gave were: “There’s more than one type of studio this badger’s familiar with. Does this sound cryptic? Good, because I love to play games. What I can tell you is that tonight, this Badger’s going to come out fighting.”
Then, in Badger’s backstage footage, he picked up a note and said: “Badger, just wanted to say thank you. Love, Barbara”.
Before his fourth song, the celebrity referred to his family life by describing like that of a Badger’s: “Badgers are very homely, they live in big families in well-maintained sets.
“I grew up in a large household. I guess you can say I was one of a kind, my family were all very creative. It was mum who opened me up to my gift when I was very young. With so many of us under one roof, there was little room to spare.
“There wasn’t even room for a mouse in the house,” he cryptically said.
As for the two truths and a lie, which occurred in his third performance, he told the panel and those watching at home: “I’m good at dodging furniture / When working, I’m often found in green / Strictly speaking, dancing is something I’m well known for.”
To add to this, Badger explained how “shy” he was and that because of this personality trait, he “had a talent for years which he kept hidden”.

The famous person is also “used to being anonymous” and said “there have been times I could’ve been n the street surrounded by people, but nobody would have any idea who I am”.
However, there isn’t one celebrity which the majority of The Masked Singer fans agree is to be Badger.
“Convinced Badger is Oritsé. @Oritse Know that wonderful soulful tone in his voice. I’ll take a bow when I’m right #TheMaskedSinger,” one said.
Another wrote: “@AndyDayTV are you Badger on #TheMaskedSinger some terrific performances if you are.”
“Badger is Neyo. If it ain’t then I’m never watching this show ever again – lockdown or not idc. #TheMaskedSinger,” someone else commented.
“#TheMaskedSingerUK #TheMaskedSinger I think Badger is Cillian Murphy being a gang in Peaky Blinders relates to Brummie clues,” a tweet read.
While one suggested: “Badger is absolute James Toseland and if I’m wrong I’ll be heartbroken, but if I’m right I’ll be dying laughing #TheMaskedSinger.”
Another name thrown into the ring was: “Could badger be @labrinth #TheMaskedSinger.”
As for who is going to be eliminated next, it seems Dragon and Harlequin will face the chop.
Betway has odds of them leaving at 1/2.
The Masked Singer returns tonight at 7pm on ITV.
