The Walking Dead's Negan and Daryl call a truce and confront Beta's undead army in first look at season 10 finale

THE Walking Dead's Negan and Daryl call an uneasy truce and confront Beta's undead army in a first look at the season 10 finale.

The hit AMC series had to delay airing its final episode earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But first look pictures of 'A Certain Doom' has given fans of taste of the drama they can expect, including Negan and Daryl being forced to team up.

The penultimate episode saw Beta and a huge horde of zombies descend on the survivors trapped inside the hospital tower.

Daryl, Carol, Kelly, Luke and Jules are some of the people who bravely wade into the undead army, but executive producer Denise Huth recently hinted "maybe not everyone is going to get out alive."

Beta is hellbent on revenge after discovering Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed The Whisperers' leader Alpha (Samantha Morton) earlier in the season.

Showrunner Angela Kang previously told "I think that our people and Beta and the Whisperers, they're all on a collision course and it's finally all going to come to an epic head."

She added: "People who watched the sneak previews will see that Maggie is back, and that's going to be part of the story.

"Carol feels like she's got a lot to make up for. She'll be stepping up. We obviously have Daryl in a position of leadership.

"And Beta, and Negan, there's a lot of people with a lot of beef against each other, so that's all going to come to a head, too."

Angela also revealed what fans can expect from Maggie Rhee's return, saying: "And we'll see that Maggie is – we'll know what's happened with her and what that means for our group."

Elsewhere, Eugene, King Ezekiel and newcomer Princess head towards his date with destiny in Charleston and will see them encounter representatives from The Commonwealth.

The Walking Dead's season 10 finale will air on Sunday, October 4 at 9pm on AMC and on Monday, October 5 on FOX in the UK as well as NOW TV.
