Yellowstone continues to prove itself as one of the Paramount Network’s most popular shows. Following the release of season three in June 2020, viewers have been hoping for the quick release of season four. After a longer wait than usual, the next season is almost here, but when will the fourth season premiere?
When will season 4 of Yellowstone air?
Season three of Yellowstone ended on August 23, 2020, and ever since, fans have been patiently waiting for season four.
Hopes were dashed that season four would hit its traditional release when June 2021 came and went.
Luckily, a trailer arrived on July 2 and offered some much-needed insight on the elusive release date.
After showing some of the characters and story of season four, the trailer ends by saying: “Coming this Fall.”
However, there is no specific release date for the new season, with the potential of the show returning at any point in autumn.
As previous seasons all dropped in summer, it is hard to make an educated guess on when in autumn the show will return.
The earliest fans should expect the show is September 22 as that is the first day of autumn.
The last day is December 12, meaning the show could air at any point between these dates.
Some reports have indicated a more precise premiere date, with November being a likely option, according to Deadline.
The Paramount Network has not responded to these claims, and neither have any of the cast or crew.
Express.co.uk will update this story when an official release date for season four is revealed.
All the main cast are returning for the fourth season, with the trailer already showcasing a few of them.
The trailer reveals little about the new season, instead compiling some of the tensest and terrifying monologues from the Duttons over the past three seasons.
There is a season four clip, however, as Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) can be seen running over to John on the side of the road, shouting: “John, don’t you die on me now, not like this!”
Another trailer will be released before the premiere of season four and will likely show more of the upcoming season.
Roarke (Josh Holloway) is returning as the antagonist in season four, with fans still predicting that he was behind the attack at the end of the third season.
The fate of the Duttons is still unknown, with Paramount holding back on releasing a plot synopsis for season four.
Fans are eager to return to the Dutton family ranch, with many of them taking to Twitter to discuss the upcoming fourth season.
One fan said: “I took my time watching #Yellowstone but I need season 4 right now! Love that show. Shouldn’t have to wait until fall!”
“Yellowstone was fantastic. Can’t wait for season 4,” another commented.
A third wrote: “I need @Yellowstone to stop messing around and release season 4!”
Yellowstone season 4 will premiere in autumn 2021. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
