Where 90210 stars are now – reboot row, co-star romance and Thom Evans fling

Daily Star TV gives you all the latest interviews and spoilers and Ed Gleave will send you telly’s hot takes straight to your inbox every Sunday

It's been 13 years since the revamped version of 90210 premiered (September 2, 2008), shooting a number of young stars to worldwide fame.

But in the years that have followed not all of them continued to find success, with some having quite dramatic career turns and hectic personal lives.

Of course, the show was certainly more dramatic, with everything from teen pregnancy, fraud, mental illness, cancer, hit and runs, death and more.

And there was beef between the casts of the original and the remake, after the original had yet another reboot, called BH90210.

Ian Ziering from the original show took a pop, saying: "We were on for 10 years, they were on for five."

  • Where Beverly Hills, 90210 stars are now – cancer heartache, sudden death and divorce

He continued: "Which is a success, but no one’s going to make a remake of that show, with all due respect. Often imitated but never duplicated."

Ian continued: "That show that you saw – when did it air? However many years ago – wasn't really an iteration. They were using Beverly Hills, 90210 to lure people in. As soon as I saw that pilot episode, I realised it had nothing to do with what we created."

The cast members have had varying degrees of success.

Let's take a look at where they all are now.

Shenae Grimes

  • Shannen Doherty's wild life from Playboy, losing home and cancer battle as she turns 50

Stunning Shenae played the part of Annie Wilson. Now aged 31, the Canadian actress is married to a British model and musician, Josh Beech.

The happy couple have one daughter together, the adorably named Bowie Scarlett, who was born in September 2018.

Shenae gave birth to her second child on August 13, 2021, and the star regularly posts family snaps on Instagram to keep her fans updated.

It’s a world away from her wild character, as Annie ran over Jasper’s uncle, she then inherited millions from Marla and ended up getting engaged to Liam.

The actress has continued working, and appeared in several TV movies and played a detective in a Canadian police drama.

She somehow found the time to launched a clothing line too amongst all of that, as well as getting married and starting a family.

Shenae starred in Scream 4 as Trudie, and also appeared in a couple of straight-to-video movies.

Matt Lanter

One of the biggest heartthrobs of the show as brooding Liam Court, Matt Lanter was the poster boy adorning walls everywhere during the series.

Matt got hitched in 2013, marrying Angela Stacy. The happy couple have one child together, a daughter called MacKenlee Faire, born in 2018.

Since 90210 finished, the hunky actor has stayed onscreen, starring in an NBC show called Timeless.

He also traded Liam’s motorbike for Lycra as a superhero for a Netflix series called Jupiter’s Legacy, though the show was cancelled after one season earlier this year.

He narrowly missed out on the role of Edward in Twilight, but played the character in a spoof version of the film called Vampires Suck.

He also appeared in the smash hit Pitch Perfect 3, and got his nerd on for Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian.

AnnaLynne McCord

As Naomi, AnnaLynne played the popular Queen bee of the group. It turns out her time on the show wasn’t a wholly happy one, as the star revealed she was sexually assaulted at the age of 18.

She has since said that filming a harrowing rape scene for the show was incredibly traumatic. Since the show ended, AnnaLynne devotes a lot of time to charity work, for sexual assault and domestic abuse projects.

If that wasn’t enough, she is also the president of a not for profit organisation aiming to end human trafficking, called “Together 1 Heart”.

She also appeared in supernatural show Lucifer, and played Irma Rose in DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

Tristan Wilds

Tristan starred as Dixon Wilson in the show, but has predominantly focused on the world of music since.

You might recognise him for starring in Adele’s iconic Hello music video, and also featured in a film for TV all about hip hop in the 90s

Not content with starring in other people’s music videos, he decided to record his own tracks.

Tristan released an album in 2013, called New York: A Love Story, which was nominated for a Grammy award in 2014. Rihanna ended up winning. He also starred in police drama Shots Fired.

He married his wife, Christina Hammond, in 2020 after dating since they were 15 years old. They have one daughter, Tristyn Naomi Wilds – yes, he named her after himself.

Jessica Stroup

As Erin Silver who easily had one of the most dramatic lives, Jessica got to sink her teeth into lots of drama. Her character ended the show finding out she had cancer.

Jessica has stayed acting, starring in Marvel show Iron Fist, as well as a Jack Reacher film with superstar Tom Cruise.

She also appeared in hilarious smash hit Ted and voiced Denise in Family Guy.

Jessica is big into fitness and regularly shares updates with fans about running, and she recently completed a 15k race and showed off her medals.

The star also contributed to a kindness book, and there were recent rumours of an engagement that she is yet to confirm.

She also dated co-star Dustin Milligan for two years from 2008 to 2010 after meeting on the set, but Dustin, who played jock Ethan on the show, left after the first series and went on to star in Schitt's Creek as vet Ted.

Michael Steger

Michael won hearts as floppy-haired Navid Shirazi, and like Tristan he also married his childhood sweetheart.

He married Brandee, after the pair met in high school. They have two children together called Poet and Mozart.

He recently shared throwback pics to his time on the show. Michael still acts, but spends a lot of time the other side of the camera now too.

The star has directed and acted in movies for Lifetime, but hasn’t done anything else yet on the scale of 90210.

Jessica Lowndes

Stunning Jessica played troublemaker Adrianna Tate Duncan, who had a teen pregnancy, a car crash with a famous singer and then stole all of his songs, as you do.

Her character also battled a bad drug addiction.

Jessica has starred in many cheesy Hallmark movies including festive Christmas films.

Lowndes also appeared in The Prince alongside Bruce Willis and John Cusack, and bizarrely Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig signed up for a Lifetime movie too: A Deadly Adoption.

She is dating Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom, since 2012. She previously dated Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, and rugby players Danny Cipriani and Thom Evans.

Trevor Donovan

Trevor played the innocent looking 17-year-old Teddy, and he's certainly got in shape since.

After leaving the show, Trevor starred in episodes of Melissa and Joey, and like others from the cast he's ended up doing a lot of Hallmark movies.

He also appeared in Lucifer, as well as NCIS.

One thing that's clear from Trevor's social media, is that he really loves dogs.

Take a look at his Instagram and you'll see it's all shirtless fitness pics, and sharing snaps of his three adorable dogs.

What's not to love?

They have pride of place on his profile, and even if his acting life isn't keeping him busy, his four-legged friends sure are.
