Who is Seth Costello in Hollyoaks and who plays him?

Hollyoaks fans received quite the shock in tonight’s episode (December 17), as it was revealed that former mainstay Seth Costello (Miles Higson) had returned.

Viewers will know that the McQueen clan have been the victims of a devastating blackmail revenge plot over the past couple of months.

After weeks of torment, it was finally revealed that Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle) was behind the twisted scheme.

However, it soon came to light that Silas had an accomplice — or rather, a mole, who was feeding him all the McQueen gossip which he would then use to blackmail the clan in question.

It has now been confirmed that the mole is none other than Theresa (Jorgie Porter), and she’s in cahoots with Seth Costello, who has made a shocking return!

Do you remember Seth? No worries if not, as we’ve got all the information you need right here.

Who is Seth Costello in Hollyoaks?

Seth formerly appeared in Hollyoaks between 2010 and 2011.

He made his first appearance in the episode broadcast on July 20, 2010, when he arrived with his mum Heidi, father Carl, brother Riley and sister Jasmine.

The clan moved to the eponymous village to take over The Dog.

Seth featured in a number of popular storylines during his time on the Channel 4 soap.

He struggled with his addiction to steroids, after he purchased some from Gaz Bennett. He later collapsed and was rushed to hospital.

Seth also famously discovered that Carl was having an affair with Riley’s fiancee Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).

Silas — Seth’s granddad — famously killed Heidi, and when the killer’s other crimes were uncovered, Seth was devastated, which begs the question as to why he’s working with Silas now!

He’s also evidently in a relationship with Theresa.

Who portrays Seth Costello in Hollyoaks?

Actor Miles Higson portrays Seth. He appeared between 2010 and 2011, and has reprised his role as of Thursday’s E4 episode.
